Allendale First School is a very friendly school. There are about 90 children in our school, so we all know each other very well. We are aged between 4 and 9 years of age, (well our teachers are a bit older!)

We have 5 teachers and 4 teaching assistants, but some mums, dads and grans come into help and so do people from the village. Our school is really old; it used to be a Victorian boarding school.

We have 4 classrooms and 2 other teaching rooms where we can bake, play the cello or work in a small group. We are surrounded by playing fields, 3 playgrounds and a wonderful adventure garden, which parents and villagers helped to build.

This is what the children say about coming to Allendale First School.

"You make friends at our school" - Lewis and Robert age 7

"We make all sorts of interesting things" - Georgia age 8 and Georgina age 7

"It's really sporty and really fun" - Oliver age 7 and Richard age 8

"We like everything. It's really fun and there are so many activities"
- Katie age 9, Rowan age 8

"We've got friends" - Matthew and Heather age 8

"We like the teachers" - Jordan age 9 and Jake age 8

"Our Marble Days are great fun" - Beth age 7 and Emily age 8
